David Lambert: 

Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he teaches Hebrew Bible and its history of  interpretation. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations

 His recent monograph, How Repentance Became Biblical: Judaism, Christianity, and the Interpretation of Scripture (Oxford University Press, 2016), was awarded the AAR Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion in the category of Textual Studies. He is currently a EURIAS fellow at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies, where he is working on a project on the history of the self and Bible translation.
